Participatory Efforts for Healthy Environment-PEHE, a non-government, not-for-profit socio economic development organization, started its development journey from a small initiative. Since its inception PEHE is striving hard to provide a plate form to marginalized communities to have easy access to basic needs and to create a society where everyone have right to equal opportunity.  It is led by young, energetic professionalist whose vision is to bring un-accessed, deprived and marginalized communities in the mainstream of life.

20 February 2011, Ms Helen Clark, Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), visited the village Bhago Teewino of District Dadu Taluka Mehar. She visited the houses constructed for the flood affectees of the village accompanied by the minister rehabilitation Mr. Muzaffar Shujra and the complete UNDP team. Ms Helen Clark later met with the beneficiaries of the houses.

Meetings with the personnel of electronic and print media to persuade them to highlight the issue of non-existence of a strong, effective and transparent local government system in Sindh have been arranged at Press Club Hyderabad and Press Club Sukkur.

To create demand for the local government system (LGS) among the masses and other potential stakeholders advocacy and awareness raising workshop with political leaders, elective representative, government official and other stakeholder at district level have been arranged at district Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Tando Mohammad khan, Tando Allahyar, Matyari, and Dadu. Targeting nine district of Hyderabad Division.

PEHE with collaboration of USAID Citizen’s Voice Project successfully build the capacity of 23 Farmers Organization of Ghotki Feder established under Sindh Water Management Ordinance  2002.
Our voluntary Community Health Awareness Program (CHAP) in Dadu, Hyderabad, Jacobabad and Jamshoro districts makes our organization as one of the key voluntary organizations on primary health and hygiene in Sindh.
